Jay Decker
Chairman
Mr. Decker has over 30 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. He most recently served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Patina, where he built a $3.6 billion enterprise that was sold to Noble Energy in 2005. Prior to his time at Patina, Mr. Decker was the Executive Vice President of Hugoton Energy Corporation. From 1989 until its merger into Hugoton in 1995, Mr. Decker was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Oil & Gas, Inc. and President of a predecessor company. Prior to 1989, Mr. Decker served as Vice President, Operations for General Atlantic Energy Company and in various capacities with Peppermill Oil Company, Wainoco Oil & Gas and Shell Oil Company.
David Kornder
President & CEO
Mr. Kornder has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Cornerstone in 2008, he served as Executive Vice President and CFO of BioFuel Energy Corp. Prior to joining BioFuel in 2007, Mr. Kornder served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Petrie Parkman & Co., Inc., until its acquisition by Merrill Lynch in 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Kornder served at Patina Oil & Gas in various capacities including Director, Executive Vice President and CFO, from its inception in 1996 through its acquisition by Noble Energy in 2005. Prior to that time, he served as Vice President, Finance of Gerrity Oil & Gas Corporation. Mr. Kornder began his career with Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Kornder holds a B.A. degree in Accounting from Montana State University.
Eric P. Lipinski
Vice President Geosciences
Mr. Lipinski has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Cornerstone in 2008, he served as Vice President of Geology at Saga Petroleum in Denver, and served as Geological Advisor to Newfield Rocky Mountains. Mr. Lipinski held various positions at Patina Oil & Gas, including Geologic Manager and Senior Geologist from 1996 until 2005 when the company was sold to Noble Energy. Prior to that time, Mr. Lipinski served in various geologic positions at Gerrity Oil & Gas, New London Oil and Solar Petroleum from 1982 to 1996. Mr. Lipinski holds a B.A. degree in Geology from Western State College of Colorado.
Cal Crawley
Senior Engineering Advisor
Mr. Crawley has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Cornerstone in 2013, Mr. Crawley was Completions Manager for Cordillera Energy Partners in Denver, Colorado. While at Cordillera from 2006 to 2012, Mr. Crawley was responsible for all well completions with special emphasis on horizontal well design and stimulation. Prior to his role at Cordillera, Mr. Crawley held various leadership roles at Texaco from 1981-2001 in both the Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent regions. From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Crawley was an independent consultant providing expertise in drilling, completions, and production operations for several Denver based clients including EnCana Oil & Gas, and Noble Energy. Mr. Crawley holds degrees in both Civil Engineering and Mathematics from Montana State University.
